Festivalul Amintiri din Copilărie

Yet another event going on in the city that we only heard about with short notice. This weekend has seen a kids' festival in Kissilef Park, with a carnival parade this morning. Edward's nap time still gets in the way, so we watched the procession and then headed home, but it was lots of fun nevertheless. As Alice said, "Buxton carnival might be a bit of a disappointment this year!"

B-Fit in the Street

After Edward work from hsi nap we thought we'd head to the Old Town to check out this festival of street performance. A really fun couple of hours wandering around the streets, finished off with pizza in one of the many gorgeous squares.

Playing with friends (and driving into a bush)

We headed to one of Leila's friend's houses today for a birthday party, and the electric car was a hit...

Main Stage Debut!

Leila made her Main Stage Debut today at the BSB Summer Fair!  She went running up to the stage holding Lotte's hand (a girl in the year above her whom she had just been crafting with at our stall) and before I knew it they were all on stage performing!  She did really well and seemed more confident doing the moves than she had done in the production just two days ago.
Really proud!
(BTW she is center stage in her yellow BwK t-shirt!)

Edward's opinion of the main act.....shame that this late nap meant he didn't go to bed until gone 9pm!
That's not my Daddy1  He's too cheeky!

Aliens Love Underpants!

Leila's class performed in the EYFS production of Aliens Love Underpants today!

Although Leila was still rather gormless throughout the production, staring around at other kids and looking a little lost etc.....she did do really well with some singing and doing the dance moves that she's been learning.  It was very cute! and definitely more confident than her first production in December.

What was sweet today too, was that Edward was so excited to see his sister up on stage!
