Sports Day

Leila and Edward had Sports Day today! Go Arges! Go Red Team!
Scotty was comparing the main.field but EYFS had their events in the sports hall which at least saved them from the heat. They both did well in their relay sports (balancing bean bags, running around cones etc) and were on.the same team. It was great to see Ed being so.independent. Leila seemed a little distracted later and was upset that we couldn't go with her for lunch time. But she was ok.when we picked her up.from school.
Then ice cream and dinner out with friends (where L and E ate an.adult size portion).

Egg cracking

The kids loved cracking eggs this morning (Romanian easter version of conkers). They have got on really well this weekend thanks to Lucy and Kit being willing to play with our two!

Bit of a bonk

So Leila climbed into.our bed on Friday morning and asked me to.itch her upper arm. Then I noticed a swelling the size of a golf ball under her arm.
Scott took her straight to A&E. After a pediatrics, surgeon, ultrasound and surgeon again it was concluded it was a heamatoma again with blood pooling in the arm instead of properly bruising.
Leila remembered hitting her arm at Kiddo but clearly it couldn't have hurt too much at the time.
So now we hope swelling goes down, bruise comes out and that the pooling blood doesn't become infected. Followup appointment on Monday.

Staycation. More

When.the weather turned we did lots of soft play. Including meeting the bunnies at Jolie Ville.
We managed a trip to the farm before this though.
Painting eggs was another rainy day activity (after Anca and Dragos showed us the tradition!)

Staycation!

What have we been up to.these last two weeks? Well they have gone fast!
Edenland....twice...Leila was great getting back into it and helping Ed. The second time Ed really wanted to play instead of climb but we distracted him.

One rainy afternoon we made raspberry jam from frozen raspberries I had. It was loads quicker to make than strawberry jam even though I needed to.strain the seeds out.

For Easter we gave the kids choc (which they mainly forgot about) but also gave them The Book With No Pictures which they loved! I was proud that L then chose to write her own version.

Scott took both kidddies for their first cinema experience too. 3d no less!

Color Run!

We picked up our race kit today and had an exciting adventure to MegaMall which was indeed mega! (And not so far away really, and had a good range of shops....so we'll be back!)

Edward singing and strumming!

Tia-tar!!!!
For the first time yesterday, Edward called it a guitar. It reminded me of how he used to.call.hot dogs "woof woof, phooo (blow)"

Edenland Park!

Our first trip since winter and as we guessed it would be quiet we decided to try and blag Edward onto the climbing circuit (you have to be 4yo). They let him on.and he loved it!
It was clearly hard work for him and for Leila too who was very patient.in.waiting for him and helping him.with his clips (as platforms were too.high for us to reach).
They climbed both routes and did some zipping before lunch (another big lunch.out so hardly ate tea).

Swim

We had a fab time swimming at Therme this morning. We left the swim vests behind and just used noodles and floats. The kids were great! They loved being thrown up in the air and splashing and Leila was doing some (albeit flailing) swimming on her own.
Can't wait to go again!

Happy Easter

We had our first Easter Egg hunt at Grace Gardens at the weekend. The weather was great and the chocolate:prize ratio was perfect as there were only a few chocs but lots of stickers, stamps etc.
Leila was beside herself when.the Easter bunny himself arrived and wanted a pic of herself in her bunny ears with him!

3d fun

Family fun run!

Alladin

We went to the beer hall Beraria H as they had a small production of Aladdin on. It was small - just two people playing all of the roles! It was quite dialogue heavy (in Romanian) but L knew the story well enough to follow it. And of course it was super easy to combine with lunch before and a play afterwards!
