The new house according to Leila

To try and stop Leila grabbing at all of our electronics we have given her one of her very own!  For quite some time now Leila has had a camera - my very old Canon camera that is small and basic and we don't mind if it gets smashed up.  Considering the abuse it is getting from her using it it's amazingly robust!

At first Leila just loved to look at picures on it that we would take around the house of things in Cairo.  Then Ella would take photos on it of what they got up to (the park, cats etc) which she again loved to look at and we loved to look at too, as it meant we could see what she had done that day and who she had met.

Recently though Leila has discovered the 'selfie' and turns the camera towards herself, and takes a picture (mainly of her teeth) whilst wincing/squinting/smiling.  Se then quickly turns the camera round so that she can see what she has just taken.  She has just started trying to take her own photos of things and providing we helpmove her fingers off the lens, she can take some good shots!  It's fascinating to see the world from her perspective, so here are a couple of her recent shots around the new house.
