We had a really fun final morning of the holidays going ice skating at promenade. We'd mentioned it to a few people but it worked out that pretty much everyone from.BSB had the same idea!!! Over half of Leila class were there and she had a wail.of a time on.the ice; spending about half of it without the 'seal' and skating/walking herself in the middle of the ice with her friends :-)
After a reluctant start ("no way!!!") Edward had his first experience skating. His favourite thing was being pushed on the 'seal' and racing around the ice. He was surprisingly good at balancing to.
We've resolved that next year we're going to keep an eye out for second hand skates and will investigate a season ticket to the rink as it's so quick and easy to get there.
No pictures unfortunately due to.having our hands full the whole time!!!
Why do just one major life event at a time? After six years in Cairo, we moved to Bucharest in summer 2014 with our toddler in tow to take up a new job. Oh, and we were expecting our second child to arrive any minute! The name for the blog is unashamedly lifted from the collection of short stories called "Never Mind The Balkans, Here's Romania" by Mike Orsmby.
