So for only the third time since Edward was born (and probably only the sixth time since Leila was born!) We went out....to a party....together!
Kevin kindly babysat for us and we walked down the road to Ceri's once the kids were asleep.
It was really cool to be out, but also a little weird as most of the other people there had their kids with them! We agreed that our two wouldn't have made it (to 10pm let alone midnight!). It was good though to be able to have some drinks and a chance to really chat to.people.
We had the countdown on the telly and the older kids had party poppers. What was a bit funny though was that at midnight everyone went around the room.wishing happy new yr but no one sang Old Langs Syne!
We left just after 1am after we'd drunk all the fizz, had a beer and then g&t! Kevin went straight to bed and we followed soon after.
The kids had stayed down.for Kevin but of course both woke and got into our bed around 230am. I.managed to move them and Leila even.managed a lie in til 8am!!
