Oh London had a heatwave yesterday and it was an unbearable 33c in their rooms. We bought a fan for E and got the padling pool out but there wasn't much else we could do to keep cool. E luckily went down to sleep ok in the evening but L was really hot and unsettled tossing and turning poor thing.
L eventually fell asleep around 10pm after cold flannels, lots of touch and quiet songs. She needed resettling again for 30min around 2am when she woke hot and tossing and turning. This was pretty bad but not as bad as previous night when it was closer to 1am when Scott finally got her to settle. After thst though she was still waking every hr to be re settled.
Today we took her to the doc as alongside this she'd been complaining of ear ache (post swim?) And toothache. The doc was able to examine her and couldn't see sign of an ear infection but could see a mild throat infection. Here's hoping that dosing her up on calpol will help her ride it out.
