Leila's first show!

We were very proud parents today when Leila took part in her first 'show' :-)  Leila's creche class, and the other two year-groups above her in EYFS all took the stage together to perform songs and dances from Whoops-a-Daisy Angel.  She had been learning the songs for weeks before, but it was only about a week or so ago that she started singing them at home and doing some of the moves.  Here is her practice-run...

So we sent her in to school with white clothes as requested by the teachers (which toddlers actually own white clothes?!) and were very proud to see her come out dressed as a snowflake with her hat and wand!

We thought that she would be the 'stander' in the class who would just stand and stare into space, too nervous to perform (as she is usually shy in new places / new faces), so we were so pleased and proud to see her doing some of the moves and words.  Then of course she spotted us and spent half her time pointing at us and telling her teachers/friends that her Mummy, Daddy, Granny, Gramps and Edward were all here!  Yes - Granny and Gramps made it over for the show too - it was so lovely to be able to share this 'first' with them.
