Nanny and Granddad's pre-Christmas visit!

We really started to feel Christmassy once Nanny and Granddad got here mid-December and we did lots of Christmassy things together! The first weekend together we went to the Christmas Market (again!). We had a different plan of attack this time - involving buying food to keep the kids happy and to keep us busy whilst we walked around. Food, to be honest, is one of the main draws of the market for us (as the stalls don't sell anything we want to buy, really) - corn on the cob and that weird potato thing on a stick, then the doughnut tube thingy covered in sugar all washed down with mulled wine!

Leila enjoying that weird potato thing on a stick.  You'd make a fortune out of this if you sold it at festivals. Why has only one stall cottoned on to the idea?

Granddad enjoyed it too!
Corn on the cob - another food-based highlight of the trip

The tree and the lights!

We also did some baking as Nanny introduced Leila to the concept of sprinkles!

And we had an afternoon at the park, topped off ('scuse the pun) with a trip on the Ferris Wheel!

Despite Nanny and Granddad purchasing snow boots and the like before they came these weren't even packed (leaving more room for presents - thank you!!!) as the weather was so good.  Not a sniff of snow and hardly a hint of morning frost even.  When it does eventually hit, I bet it's gonna hit hard!
